ToggleBecici Beach
Becici Beach is a beautiful, 1,950-meter-long stretch of soft pebbles, extending from the Zavala Peninsula to the small resort town of Rafailovici, just 2 kilometers south of Budva. Not surprisingly, it has effortlessly earned the prestigious Blue Flag Award for its water quality and sustainable management.
Divided into several sections, each comes with set prices for sun loungers and parasols that line up with military precision. Becici Beach is backed by some of Budva’s top hotels and there is a scenic seaside promenade dotted with restaurants, bars, as well as souvenir-and-beachwear shops.
Blue Flag Beaches
Montenegro has its fair share of Blue Flag Beaches, pristine coves, and stretches of sand that are recognized for outstanding water quality and environmental standards.
Budva
Budva is a bustling Mediterranean coastal town with a history that dates back more than 2,000 years, as evidenced by its picturesque old town.
Children’s playgrounds, showers, toilets, and all sorts of available watersports make this beach particularly convenient for families with children, but it is also frequented by younger couples and retirees. The picturesque Sveti Nikola Island is in full view from the beach and can be visited by water taxi, jet ski, or kayak.
It also shelters Becici from large waves and strong winds, leading to excellent swimming and snorkeling conditions – ideal for non-swimmers and those interested in learning how to swim. When the weather is perfectly calm, it presents the ideal conditions for stand-up paddleboarding excursions.
Becici Beach has been a popular resort for almost a century, seeing generations of sunseekers luxuriating in the warmth of the Montenegrin sun and cooling off in the dramatic blues of the Adriatic. Sure, it gets busy in peak season, but due to its width, it is less crowded than Mogren Beach and Slovenska Beach.

Safety and Access
With its gentle waves and clear water, Becici Beach is safe for the whole family. Every one hundred meters or so, you’ll find lifeguard towers which are staffed during the summer season from 8 am to 7 pm, as evidenced by the hissed flags. Safe swim zones are clearly indicated with red and white buoys.
Access for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility is quite good thanks to the paved boardwalk. There are several free and paid parking areas on both sides of the Adriatic coastal road, as well as a public bus service connecting Becici to nearby towns, including Budva, Kotor, Tivat, and Bar. Buses stop within a 200-meter walking distance from the beach.
Tivat
Particularly known for its super yacht marina, Porto Montenegro, Tivat is a charming coastal town located in the Bay of Kotor, offering good lifestyle opportunities.
Kotor
Kotor is one of Europe’s most picturesque coastal towns, with a charming harbor, UNESCO-listed city walls, and a maze of narrow cobblestone streets.
Things to do
Becici Beach is a watersports heaven with lots of activities for kids and adults, including jet skiing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and parasailing. Rentals can be found at the central beach section, adjacent to the floating pier. Paragliding is also popular with adventurous-minded visitors. Tandem flights can be arranged with Paragliding Montenegro.
Despite the rich watersports offer, it rarely gets too overwhelming neither with noise nor equipment, leaving lots of space for swimmers and snorkelers. Children will appreciate the arcade game rooms and coin-operated rocking toys found in some of the beach bars. Visiting Sveti Nikola Island is possible by taking a water taxi from neighboring Slovenska Beach in Budva.

A great and vibrant breakfast menu, too!

Tri Ribara on the seaside walkway is a small and cozy seafood tavern. Admire the sea view and enjoy a beer on tap at El Gusto, a pub serving hamburgers, wings, and sausages, among others.
