Where You Will Sleep

Hotel Astoria Kotor

There are only 9 spacious rooms and suites, spread across four floors and fitted with unique pieces. The decor is elegant, with exposed natural stone walls and Mediterranean window shutters, fabrics and drapes in tones of beige and grey, and carved antique furniture. All residences are individually designed, some featuring daring murals and canvas art, adding splashes of vibrant colors to the classic design scheme.

Comfortable beds, fluffy bathrobes, padded slippers, and work desks can be found in all rooms, while the large marble bathrooms have walk-in rainfall showers, and two sinks, and are stocked with premium toiletries. The sound-abatement windows do a good job of controlling incoming sound from the busy town square.

Eat and Drink

An impressive made-to-order breakfast is provided in the hotel restaurant, with outdoor seating on the garden terrace below, shaded by big beige parasols and heritage views. It is a fantastic (romantic) dinner venue, too, offering a unique ambiance with soft live music playing on the beautifully lit old town square.

Munch on everything from traditional Adriatic cuisine to contemporary international takes, including grilled fish and octopus, juicy steaks, and pasta dishes made from fresh local seafood and typical Mediterranean ingredients such as thyme, rosemary, and lemon. Hellenistic wall art and classy wooden furniture set the mood for evening meals inside.

There is also a giant artificial olive tree that extends from the bar on the ground floor to the second floor. The lounge bar serves drinks and snacks all day and is the perfect spot for an evening cocktail, aperitivo, or just a cup of coffee, especially when it’s raining outside. The wine list is extensive but unfortunately, there are no local wines by the glass.
