ToggleHeritage Grand Perast
It’s conceivably not surprising in this ever more globalized world that the Turkish-based Rixos hospitality group should count the Bay of Kotor among its most successful venues. The Heritage Grand Perast is an idyllic and luxurious 5-star retreat housed in one of Perast’s most imposing waterfront palazzi.
Plenty of hotels claim to be palace-like in one way or another, but the Heritage Grand Perast, in Perast’s charming historic center, is just the thing. The building was erected by the affluent Smecchia Family in 1764, using only the finest of materials, including exquisite limestone from the island of Korcula in Southern Croatia.

Relax & Unwind
You will feel worlds away from the worries and concerns of contemporary life in the tranquil surroundings of charming Perast. The Heritage Grand’s setting offers the ideal opportunity to unwind and take things slower, whether it be cooling off in the outdoor swimming pool with direct bay access, or taking a saunter along the waterfront.
The hotel’s fenced-off grounds come with several quiet corners for introspection and reading. Potted palms and lush Mediterranean vegetation create an ambiance of serenity and peace. Make sure to come armed with good literature as you won’t find it easy moving once you’ve found your private spot, either reclined on a sunbed with cocktail in hand, or the picturesque patio, with the sweeping bay views beyond.
If you crave a body wrap, hydrotherapy, or facial, the hotel’s Cataleya Spa Center makes relaxation truly undemanding. There’s a heated indoor pool, a well-equipped gym, a real Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath (hammam), and an outdoor pool with a picture-perfect view. Where You’ll Sleep
The Heritage Grand has 130 guestrooms, each with their unique style and character, either housed in the main palazzo or its annex buildings. The room’s decor captures the essence of the 18th-century Baroque building. Elegantly unobtrusive, it hits all the right notes, leaving space for king beds with oversized headboards and cream-tan upholstery, and coming together in a warm and earthy palate.
All the residences have the amenities expected of a 5-star hotel, including comforting air conditioning, fluffy white Turkish towels, satellite TV, and free WiFi. The bathrooms are roomy and include vessel sinks, rain showers, and vases with fresh greens and blooms against a backdrop of white marble tiles.
The Mediterranean-style windows add another level of escapism as one takes in the lovely coastal environment with boats bobbing in the water and Our Lady of the Rocks standing magnificently right in the middle of the bay.
