ToggleHotel Avala Budva
The Budva Riviera is no longer a secret and it is just not equitable anymore to describe Budva as an underrated destination. But even though holidaymakers’ expectations are increasing year by year, this leading light of Adriatic hoteliers is capable of meeting them.
The Hotel Avala Budva is no newcomer to the local hospitality scene. In an earlier incarnation, it played a huge role in the development of summer tourism in Budva and beyond. And now, after a renovation that brought it up to contemporary standards, the Avala is poised to retake its position among Budva’s top hotels.
This iconic edifice is proudly placed on the Adriatic waterfront, just a couple steps outside Budva’s Old Town, and it’s divided between three very distinct structures: the main buildings with its stone facade and tinted glass paneling, the black edifice adjacent to it, and the cascading villas in the background.
The modern black design language extends into the hotel’s interior where the lofty (breakfast) restaurant features pervasive black ceilings, black flooring, and a signature black chandelier – a very sophisticated and elegant look. And as large as the ceilings are, such is the selection of food for breakfast which is changed daily.
What does not change is the black color theme that continues throughout the entire hotel. The tiles and the ceiling beams in the hotel lobby, the walls and floors in the SPA Center, and even the parasols at the outdoor pool, everything is painted black.
The Hotel Facilities
The Hotel Avala is only steps away from the Ricardova Glava Beach, where you have access to private, hotel-owned sun loungers, parasols, and complimentary beach towel service. The beach lies adjacent to the heart of Budva’s Old Town.
From there, you can choose to take a boat trip to the nearby Sveti Nikola Island, a largely unspoiled gem of the Montenegrin coastline. Those who would rather stay on the mainland, can unwind at the gorgeous Spa and Wellness Center which features the legendary floating rotund pool, overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
The magnificent indoor pool provides plenty of reasons to stay in as well, as do the Spa’s relaxing natural beauty treatments. You can choose from a wide array of therapies and methods, including full-body massages and facials. Among others, there’s also the amazing jacuzzi and two separate saunas (ladies and gents).
The Rooms
It is not surprising then to see that even the rooms pick up the Hotel Avala’s sophisticated black design scheme. Some feature walls are accentuated in black and the bathrooms mostly come with black tiles, contrasting beautifully with the wooden elements.
Standard Double Room
Already the standard double room is very spacious, measuring a lofty 28 square meters, and comes with a cozy bathtub and high-quality amenities. It is better to pay the small premium and upgrade to a room with a sea view because some standard rooms just look out onto a wall.
Superior Double Room
The Superior Room can accommodate up to three adults on a commodious 48 square meters. The large outdoor terrace is the perfect spot to relax in between the beach and dinner time. The air conditioning is strong enough to cool down the heat even on extremely hot days and nights.
Executive Suite with Sea View
Given the oceanfront location of this hotel, it should not surprise you that the vistas out of your suite are nothing short of phenomenal. This is a good choice for everyone who enjoys watching sunrises and sunsets from the comfort of their intimate balcony.
Luxury Suite with Sea View
The Luxury Suite gives you frontal views of Budva’s Old Town and the Sveti Nikola Island in the background. The suites accommodate a couple very comfortably on more than 80 m2. If you would like some privacy, you can enjoy a nice dinner on your terrace, overlooking the glowing walled city at night.
Family Suite
If you are traveling with your family or with another couple, then the Family Suite might be your optimal choice. Here, you will sleep in two separate bedrooms on one king-sized bed and two singles in the other room. There is also a roomy living room with a sofa and a furnished balcony.
