Hotel Cattaro Kotor

The Hotel Cattaro in Kotor’s Old Town which has 18 unique rooms and suites is, rightly so, a member of the exclusive Historic Hotels of Europe association. The historic edifice, which occupies three emblematic historic buildings has been craftily turned into one of Kotor’s most charming hotels.

Located on the Square of Arms in the heart of the old town, blissful views of high-towering mountains and beautiful Baroque architecture are the hallmarks of this 4-star hotel, ideal for a romantic getaway or a short trip with the little ones. ‘Timeless chic’ would be the best word to describe the hotel’s interior… polished marble, red mahogany wood, brass, and striped upholstery abound, creating that elegant ‘Old World Feel’.

A warm welcome is given by the staff (the charming receptionists are always helpful with recommendations), making you instantly comfortable. At breakfast, which is complementary and offers more than you could ask for, each guest is addressed individually. The fine food at the Restaurant Royal, the personal and attentive service, the setting right on the main town square, and the bold and characterful rooms make Hotel Cattaro a good choice for exploring Kotor and its surroundings.

The Rooms & Suites

The Hotel Cattaro follows a traditional interior design scheme, the rooms portraying a warm and comforting elegance while not being immoderately fancy. Luxury is there but it is in the details – a successful combination which is also reflected in the choice of fine materials and textures.

The result is 18 harmonious and well-balanced rooms, ranging from 28 m² for the standard double room to 70 m² for the Deluxe Suite with balcony. The rooms are spacious with timeless wooden furniture, comfortable king-size beds, walk-in showers, and fluffy bathrobes and slippers.

Overlooking the busy main town square, the rooms and suites are quiet notwithstanding noise-insulated windows. The refined and sophisticated suites are decorated with old portraits and have an additional bathtub with quality care products which makes them stand out from the ordinary double rooms.
