ToggleHotel Perla Herceg Novi
The 4-star Perla Herceg Novi is one of those hotels that make you regret leaving and wish that you had stayed longer. And it is easy to see why: it sits right at the scenic coastal promenade, overlooking the Bay of Kotor and Rose on the Lustica Peninsula.
The Hotel Perla is situated in the green quarter of Herceg Novi close to the Savina Forest and Monastery, one of the town’s most idyllic places. Along the Five Danica Promenade with its countless bars and restaurants, you reach Herceg Novi’s Old Town in just 15 minutes.
The Hotel Facilities
The Perla feels more like a welcoming home than an introverted fortress. It is small enough to not overshadow its beautiful natural surroundings (The mountains in the background are spectacular) but large enough to have more facilities than you will ever need during your vacation.
There is the charming outdoor swimming pool, overlooking the coastal promenade and the crystal-clear Adriatic. The hotel also features a private beach with table service and sunbeds by the water – just a short walk from your hotel room.
It’s nevertheless no mega-resort, and that works very much in its favor. The Hotel Perla Herceg Novi does, however, have a small spa featuring a jacuzzi and an authentic Finnish sauna with a Harvia stove. It’s an excellent choice for families with or without children.
Off-campus, a large number of activities are on offer – diving and water skiing to name just a few. You can also make use of the complimentary bicycles and explore the bay area on two wheels which is a relaxing and rewarding activity in itself. Or, why not lose some calories jogging on the lovely coastal promenade?
The hotel also offers an outdoor gym as well as a traditional Mediterranean restaurant, a second restaurant serving international specialties, and a beach bar for light snacks and summer drinks. Room prices include both breakfast – varied and changes every day – and dinner.
The Rooms
As for the residences, the Hotel Perla feels smaller than its sixty-odd rooms. The interior style is airy and minimalist, but never confined — this hotel is predestined to be all about the bella vita, and on this promise it indeed delivers.
And even if you consider yourself an obsessive-compulsive cleaner, you will see that the housekeepers probably outdo you – the rooms are spotless all around.
