Your trusted go-to team

After more than ten years, we’ve perfected what we do and built a strong reputation as the trusted experts in our industry.

Don't take our word for it, TAKE THEIRS

Incorporated in 2009, we’ve worked across the nation and assisted hundreds of newcomers to Montenegro, connecting them to local communities and kickstarting their new lives and businesses.

Adriacom has been amazing at helping us set up all the things necessary for our new, peaceful lives in Montenegro in an easy and compliant way. They are 10x times better than previous service providers we had used in Portugal. They are flexible and open to assist with other areas such as housing and education, which is amazing!

The power of Adriacom lies in the team’s ability to swiftly adapt to challenges and anticipate problems before they occur. This has saved me lots of money and resources. I’ve been a client for over 5 years and I just can’t see myself running my small online business without them at this point.

Alexander Volkov

CEO, Data Analytics Expert

Honestly, it’s quite a joy working with Adriacom (...) I would recommend them to everyone seriously eyeing a move to Montenegro. They nail customer service on a different level. Me and my wife love them. It’s truly remarkable how quickly we were able to adapt to our new happy lives.

My personal income tax rate has decreased to 15% (from previously 45%) by obtaining residency in Montenegro. My money goes a long way here, and even if I am not a big spender, I am finally able to save significant portions of my income. I am forever grateful for Adriacom’s support and mentorship.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Montenegro's residency visa programs

How many days am I allowed to be outside of Montenegro per year? Are there any minimum stay requirements I need to follow?

Solely the entrepreneur visa has no physical presence requirement, while with the other residency programs, you are not allowed to stay outside Montenegro for more than 30 days (90 days on request) per year.

The cost for renewing one temporary residence permit in Montenegro is 250,00€ per person per year.

The approximate costs of running and maintaining your business amount to 220,00 Euros per month, and include our registered business address service, bookkeeping, accounting, and salary taxes.

Unfortunately, residence applications can only include dependent children under 18 and married spouses. Adult children may either need to own (at least 50% ownership) real estate in Montenegro, set up their own company, or be employed in your company. Retirees aged 67+ may need to open their own company or own property in Montenegro; there is no designated retiree visa at this moment.

Only married spouses and minor children under 18 years of age can apply for family reunification in Montenegro.

After being a temporary resident for at least 6 months, you may opt to apply for a tax residence certificate so you do not get taxed twice on foreign income and take advantage of Montenegro’s low personal income tax rates.

There is no minimum physical stay requirement for maintaining your tax residency status in Montenegro.

No. You’ll need to show a notarized rental agreement as proof of accommodation for your residency application. Contact us in case you have trouble obtaining the rental agreement, we can set you up with a landlord for a small fee.

Only the company formation part can be completed remotely by sending in a notarized power of attorney, but you would still need to be physically present (after the company has been formed) to go to the immigration office and apply for your residence permit, which takes about two weeks to be granted, and also when picking up your residency ID and opening your bank accounts – but not in the intervening period.

When applying for the property visa and yacht residency program, you’d need to show proof of funds by depositing 3,650€ in a Montenegrin bank. The digital nomad visa program has a monthly income requirement of three times the national minimum wage, which is currently set at 600,00 Euros per month.

Businesses in Montenegro, including sole proprietorships, require a registered business address by law. For some business activities, using your home address would violate Montenegro’s company law. Fortunately, the registered office service is free of charge for our bookkeeping and accounting clients.

When applying for residency by company formation as the company director, you must show proof of education, which may also be a high school or college diploma. A transcript (overview of grades and subjects) is required as well.

Make sure that your police certificate always matches your country of citizenship, even if you have spent decades as a resident in a country other than your country of origin/birth. If you hold multiple citizenships, it is sufficient to obtain a criminal background check from one country.

Applying for permanent residency is possible after living as a temporary resident for an uninterrupted period of five years in Montenegro, and not being outside of Montenegro for more than 10 months in these 5 years.

Montenegrin residency gives you the right to live and work in Montenegro – either temporarily or permanently – without any immigration restrictions but does not grant you visa-free travel to other destinations.
