ToggleLazure Hotel & Marina
The Lazure Hotel & Marina is perched at the water’s edge in Herceg Novi, a charming seaside town embracing 15 kilometers of pristine Adriatic coastline at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. Once a treasured holiday spot for writers and poets, Herceg Novi is finding new life as a sanctuary for lifestyle enthusiasts.
The hotel’s main wing’s century-old rustic stone facade blends incredibly well with the surrounding crimson-colored rooftops and white window shutters to form a distinctively Mediterranean waterfront townscape. And, the marina just in front of the hotel, will erase all doubt that you are anywhere else than in the Adriatic.
Inside, the hotel’s interior calls attention to historical design elements such as the remains of a former chapel with bright blue doors. This heavenly intermesh of old and new works incredibly well and radiates positive energy and an aura of tranquility.
The Lazure is not just a 5-star hotel on paper. Instead, you can expect a true and honest 5-star service level where nothing seems to be too much effort from the attentive and forthcoming hotel staff.
Lazure Beach & Bar
The hotel-owned private beach just adjacent to the marina is all you ever need to spend a relaxing day sunbathing and swimming in the exceptionally-clean Adriatic Sea. The vibes are laid-back and there are always plenty of very comfortable sun loungers available.
The beach bar serves international fusion cuisine, you can order anything from seafood tacos to sushi. When it comes to drinks, there is no way around one of their signature cocktails which is the perfect choice in the late afternoon hours.
Lazure Spa & Wellness Center
With such attention to detail that went into the hotel design, it is no wonder then that the fitness center feels upscale and classy as well, overlooking the marina and Boka Bay. After having burnt calories on the premier treadmill, you can then treat yourself in the Spa & Wellness Area.
The heated indoor swimming pool with sea views is the star of the show at the spa and provides plenty of reasons to stay in, although the saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis, and specialty treatments give it a run for its money.
A beautifully-landscaped garden is a peaceful place where you can recharge in serenity under one of the palm trees or conifers.
The Rooms & Suites
The interior design acknowledges a clean and contemporary aesthetic that defines both the 24 guest rooms in the historical building and the 104 newly built rooms and suites in the modern addition. Adorned with a brisk Adriatic jumble of blues, greens, and creams, the best rooms feature a large and spacious balcony with stunning sea views.
Historical Building
The historical building is something of a heritage trunk – the sort of locale that catapults you back to a time when the entire design boutique hotel scene started. It’s surely not velvet-glove grandeur, but it’s as opulent as Herceg Novi gets. You can choose between Deluxe Rooms and Suites.
Deluxe Rooms
Deluxe Rooms are spaciously enough (22 – 39 m2) when traveling alone or with a partner. Wake up on an impressively comfortable king-sized bed (200 x 200 cm) that opens up to an ensuite bathroom with copper taps and fittings.
Suites
Traveling with your children or an as a group of friends, or need more space? Suites in the Lazure come in a variety of sizes and configurations. The Executive Suite can host two adults and two children comfortably whereas the Family Suite has an additional bedroom and has a capacity for 4 adults and 2 children.
Modern Building
In the modern building, a mix of Superior Rooms, Studio Apartments, and Suites is making sure that the demands of most travelers are being met. The Superior Rooms are already roomy enough, measuring between 27 – 30 square meters, and some of them feature gorgeous sea views.
The interior design is heavily inspired by the simplicity and minimalism of Scandinavian Design and bolstered by upscale Italian ceramic flooring with floor heating in the kitchen and bathroom. The materials used are high-quality and natural.
Superior Room with Sea View
Sea view costs a little extra over the Superior Room but it is something to consider – the vistas of the marina and the Bay of Kotor are breathtaking. Like all residences in the Lazure, the Superior Room is modern and spotlessly clean, featuring a contemporary bathroom with high-quality shampoos and lotions.
Studio with Kitchen
Some travelers think that it’s not a real vacation without the ability to prepare food for themselves. If you are one of those, you are advised to choose a Studio Apartment which comes with a beautiful and fully-equipped kitchen. A studio can accommodate either three adults or two adults and two children.
And, while the bedroom comes with a king-sized bed (or two singles), a sofa bed is available for a third person or two little ones in the living room.
Suite
A suite is one step up from the studio apartment, measuring 73 m2 and accommodating up to 4 adults. All Suites have spacious balconies from where you have unobstructed sea views, overlooking the Bay of Kotor.
The Restaurants
Pleasure-seekers and gourmands will appreciate the hotel’s three restaurants: Augusto Terrace with a delightful terrace covered by pine trees, Rosemarine, serving Mediterranean, South American & Asian cuisine, and the Buffet Restaurant in the modern building.
Be it as it may, you not only get an excellent and varied breakfast that comes complimentary with your hotel room but lunch or dinner here is a particular treat as well. Pick one of the light and appealing seasonal a la carte dishes that manifest a good apprehension of Mediterranean and international flavors.
How to get there
The Lazure Hotel sits between two international airports – Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) and Tivat Airport (TIV) which are within a one-hour’s radius. Podgorica Airport (TGD) is about two hours away from the hotel.
