ToggleNude Beaches in Montenegro
All along Montenegro’s coast, you’ll find beaches that are suitable for naturism, where it’s easier to find privacy, even during the busiest time of the year. It is true however that the increased popularity of Montenegro as a tourist destination has led to the discovery of many secret spots previously reserved for nudists.
Nudists now increasingly have to share the precious shoreline with the ones who prefer bikinis and swim shorts over sunbathing ‘au naturel‘. There are a few officially designated nude beaches in Montenegro, on the other ones nudism has merely become a tradition.
Ada Bojana Beach
For those in search of a full-scale nudist vacation in Montenegro, there is no way around the Ada Bojana Nudist Settlement at the southernmost tip of Montenegro’s Adriatic coast. Being conveniently located on a tiny island bordering Albania, Ada Bojana Beach guarantees maximum freedom and privacy.
This three-kilometer-long sandy beach is considered to be one of the nicest beaches in Montenegro. On the northern end, you will find a small section with sun loungers and parasols for hire and operated by the resort. If you need more intimacy, go to the southern end of the beach which is characterized by large dunes.

Forget sunbathing, this stony beach is for everyone who loves snorkeling, swimming, and clambering along the rocks. Winding roads through olive-clad hills epitomize the route to this quaint cove beach near Ulcinj. One of its peculiarities is the abandoned buildings along the way, this used to be a Yugoslav military resort back in the day.
From the main Valdanos Beach, you need to take a semi-paved pathway before you reach this hidden gem after 10 minutes. You will be rewarded with incredibly clean and crystalline water, perfect for a peaceful clothes-free swim along the steep cliffs.

Albatros Beach
No sand here – this piece of paradise is not really a beach, but rather a stony outcrop with exposed stone terraces sloping down to the shoreline. Hugged by lush and pretty pine trees, the Albatros Nudist Beach is surrounded by clean, transparent water.
Sun loungers are matched with tiki-style umbrellas here, overlooking the exceptionally picturesque setting. Descend the ladder into the water whenever you need to refresh yourself. Stripping right off is highly encouraged; this is one of the few official nude beaches in Montenegro.
Crvena Glavica Nudist Beach
Crvena Glavica lies close to Sveti Stefan nestling between beautiful red cliffs. It has three main beaches separated by rocky outcroppings of which Crvena Glavica Nudist Beach is the most remote and hardest to reach – which makes it perfect for stripping your clothes off and soaking up the warm sun rays.
The red-colored pebbles and crystal-clear azure waters make this a popular spot for those prepared to master the 10-minute descent through pine trees down to the beach, taking with them everything needed for a free and careless beach day. Enjoy the wild natural beauty, entirely clear of man-made structures.
