ToggleVilla Geba: Boutique Hotel with top-notch Restaurant
Situated between Budva, the bustling Metropolis of Montenegrin tourism and the quaint and romantic Petrovac, the coastal town of Sveti Stefan captivates visitors with the medieval charm of its island and picturesque beaches.
It is also home to some exceptional hotels that are keen to offer their guests top-notch hospitality and culinary experiences at the same time. One of those is Villa Geba, a premium 5-star boutique hotel named after Zeus’ daughter and inspired by the spirits and aesthetics of antiquity.
Such a concept of first-rate accommodation with a big personality can work on a small and intimate scale. It is no wonder than that this lovely piece of architecture contains plenty of references to ancientness, including crumbling columns and marble statues.
Rooms and Suites
If we follow Karl Lagerfeld’s adage that there was nothing more modern than antiquity, we can easily see that all residences are unmistakably contemporary. And the 7 rooms and suites are highly polished and not short on character, nor are they stingy or small, measuring between 35 and 180 square meters.
Equipped with fine linens, bath products, and luxurious bathrobes, it all conspires to create a particularly intimate feel, an impression reinforced by the perceptive private butler service.
One can instantly feel that renowned French designer Claudia Ravnbo focused on crafting the perfect sanctuary, each room carefully designed with a lot of attention to detail. We liked the Morocco-inspired Salma Suite best, featuring two hammam-style bathrooms and lots of space.
Extravagant Epicureans will appreciate the separate 4-bedroom Villa Apollonia. The name is a tribute to the Greek god that did not come coincidentally – enter one of the four chic bathrooms or venture out on the panoramic terrace and you will feel the divine energy.
Room Rates: from 395€ per night
Hotel Facilities
It goes without saying that the exterior decoration picks up the antique theme gracefully while laying on all modern comforts. The outdoor heated infinity pool overlooking the island of Sveti Stefan will seem addictively enticing, even in the off-season.

Spa by Villa Geba
And while Queen Cleopatra’s face mask recipe was made up of green grapes and honey, she also took long baths in donkey milk to moisturize her skin and prevent it from aging. Don’t be dispirited but the Villa Geba SPA Center applies more contemporary techniques to rejuvenile yourself and relieve stress.
So, instead of donkey milk, the licensed professionals will apply French premium cosmetics by Terrake. The Spa is beautifully designed with imposing marble-tiled walls, comfortable lounge sofas, and low-hanging ambient lighting. The same warm mood prevails as you enter the area with the Turkish Hammam, the Sauna, and the Jacuzzi.
Muse Restaurant
Yet it is the restaurant that is the beating heart of the Villa Geba. It is housed in the sea-facing part of the building, the dining hall windows opening onto a large panoramic terrace, overlooking Sveti Stefan and Budva.
Chef Dusan Popov treats local Montenegrin culinary traditions respectfully but does not shy away from combining them with French, Lebanese, or Moroccan flavors. The handcrafted menu changes according to the seasons – Dusan personally oversees the small kitchen garden in the backyard.
Beaches Nearby
Sveti Stefan Beach is just a couple of minutes away on foot. The northern part of the beach is managed by Aman Sveti Stefan. You can still rent sun loungers – 180€ the pair. The southern side of the beach is busier but sunbed hire here is less expensive.
Villa Geba also offers a complimentary shuttle service to Galija Beach, a small and picturesque beach in the neighboring cove. Or, you can explore the beaches of the Budva Riviera by yourself – within a 20-minute drive, you will reach most of them.
How to get there
