ToggleThe Ponta Seljanovo Beach is a perfect example of why beaches within the Bay of Kotor can be so exceptional. Tucked away a little north of the resort town of Tivat, this beach extends like a tongue into the Adriatic Sea for about 250 meters with beautiful beach acreage to both sides.
Made up of pebbles and small rocks, and thanks to its exposed geographical position, is constantly shelved by gentle waves and a light Mediterranean breeze. Its most notable feature is the lighthouse found at its outermost tip, serving as a place of rest and calm.
People come in the early morning and evening hours to capture the sun rising or setting behind the rolling hills of the Lustica Peninsula. Ponta Seljanovo Beach is the ideal beach for swimming and snorkeling close to Tivat, and as you won’t find any water sports equipment for hire here, many locals and visitors come here just for that.
Others come for the picture-perfect views of the sea and Porto Montenegro with its glimmering white yachts and pastel-colored buildings not too far away. Conifers are lined up on the southern end, providing ample shade to escape the scorching summer heat.
