ToggleFine pink pebbles, a gently sloping entry, and crystal-clear waters are three valid reasons why Przno Beach is considered to be one of the most charming beaches on the Budva Riviera. Przno itself is a picturesque fishing village, overlooked by centuries-old stone cottages, beautiful villas, and luxury hotels, and boasting stunning views of Sveti Nikola Island and Budva.
The 350-meter-long beach sits in a sheltered cove and offers a great seaside experience with a luxurious twist. A renowned 5-star hotel, the Maestral Resort & Casino, is situated here and occupies more than half the beach with its lines of sun loungers and parasols, which come with a hefty price tag for nonguests – 180€ per set at the time of our visit.
The public beach section is small, narrow, and fills up quickly in the height of the summer season. You can rent deckchairs and umbrellas here as well at more affordable rates, and there are facilities with showers, changing stations, and toilets. Though it can get overcrowded in the summer, Przno is a picturesque, family-friendly beach, great for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing. It is also child-friendly with calm waters and little to no waves.
Our tip: Arrive early in July and August, go for breakfast in one of the waterfront eateries, and then take a swim before the crowds arrive.
Welcome to the Budva Riviera, the holiday destination where Montenegro’s most picturesque beaches and some very charming coastal resorts are located.
Swim, snorkel, or simply sunbathe to your heart’s content. This is one of those beaches where you can never get enough of its gorgeous natural surroundings, both above and below the water surface. What else? Przno Beach offers good access to nearby sea caves, reefs, and dive sites around Sveti Nikola Island.
Both beginner and advanced scuba divers will appreciate the variety and beauty of Przno’s marine life. Pro Diving Montenegro has an office at the premises of the Maestral Hotel and offers introductory and PADI certification courses, taught by multilingual instructors. There are no other water sports activities available for hire.
Rocky outcrops and small islets, the largest one of which is dotted with the remains of a stone building, make Przno Beach very scenic, and diving into the sea from the rocks is a favored pastime. Przno may not have a seaside walkway, but with such picture-perfect vistas, the desire to move will probably be very weak anyway.
Discover Sveti Nikola Island, locally also referred to as ‘Hawaii’, a 2-kilometer-long island off the coast of Budva, known for its pristine natural beauty.
Przno Beach is well-connected by a scenic road to neighboring Sveti Stefan, and along the way you pass through Milocer Park and Queen’s Beach, which is considered, by many, to be Montenegro’s prettiest beach. It is part of the ultra-luxury Aman Sveti Stefan resort and exclusive to hotel guests.
It is possible to access Przno via the Adriatic coastal road, coming from either Petrovac or Budva. Though there is an unpaid parking lot 50 meters away from the beach, and additional parking adjacent to the post office, finding a free space can be challenging during the peak season. Paid parking is also available at Hotel Maestral.
You can go down to the beach on either a cobbled street or a stone stairway, making it difficult (but not impossible) to access for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility. Public transport buses stop along the coastal road, within a 5-minute walking distance to the beach. Its sandy grounds and deep waters make this a great spot for anchoring your boat for the day. The closest port with facilities is located in Budva.
Sveti Stefan is an upscale resort next to Budva, known for its pink pebble beaches. Enjoy refined restaurants, sea-view bars, and incredible scenery.
There is no shortage of good accommodations in Przno. Hotel Maestral is a large resort-style hotel complex with private beach access, tennis, padel, and basketball courts, a casino, several restaurants, and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. If travel budget permitting, this is the best choice in Przno because it allows you to use the pristine hotel beach with its comfortably spaced loungers.
Alternatively, stay at the brand new Regent Resort – no affiliation with the hospitality brand – for a dose of boutique luxury less than 500 meters from the beach. There is also a large selection of self-catering vacation rentals, including waterfront apartments and cliffside villas with breathtaking views.
The 5-star Maestral Resort & Casino is one of the best hotels on the Budva Riviera, boasting a perfect setting on Przno Beach and good facilities, including a casino.
Grilled seafood, including sea bass, squids, and octopus, homemade Black Risotto, and mussels a la Buzara are some of the specialties served up at taverns and restaurants located along the tiny Przno seaside promenade. The popular Konoba More provides a relaxed, romantic atmosphere and front-row sea views; patrons literally float above the water here.
It’s the perfect place to share a delicious seafood platter for date nights or indulgent evening banquets shared with friends. Enjoy magnificent sea views and a glass of Montenegrin wine while you wait for your meal. Family-friendly venues set back from the sea such as Pizzeria Napoletana, Village Restaurant, and Jade, a Chinese restaurant located within the Maestral Hotel property.
Some beachside cafes and restaurants are more relaxed and ideal for an afternoon cappuccino or cocktail. There is a supermarket and a few small grocery stores in town to take snacks and drinks to go as well. Przno’s scenic coastline attracts thousands of visitors, many of which come just for dinner. Restaurants with sea views can get busy, especially in July and August; thus we recommend reserving a table in advance.
The glorious Milocer Park Road connects Przno Beach with Sveti Stefan, inviting walkers, runners, and cyclists to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and healthy sea air. The family-friendly Becici Beach and resort town are just a 5-minute car ride away and if you continue on that same road, Budva is within a 10-minute driving distance with all that it has to offer, including fashion boutiques, gourmet restaurants, and a picturesque historic center.
Bustling and high-octane Budva is Montenegro’s most-visited coastal town, offering a wealth of entertainment, beautiful beaches, and Mediterranean vibes.
Discover the family-friendly resort town of Petrovac on the Budva Riviera. The sparkling blue Adriatic and a scenic promenade lined with restaurants are on your doorstep.
